The Red River Valley Is Closed for Business

We will resume normal operations on Tuesday, February 12. Until then: SNOW DAY FOR ALL.

I applaud you, Winter Storm Orko. (Could more than five people actually remember who Orko is? Ken, are you reading this?)

Maybe not EVERYBODY appreciates Snow Days. There were a lot of healthcare workers who were stuck at work overnight. People who are apparently emergency designated personnel. People who have to plow and snowblow stuff. And my children.

Fear 76

We overcame the terror of the snowblower by doing what everybody else in the Upper Midwest was doing today: baking cookies.

This brings us to Fear #77: electric mixers. We overcame that fear by eating cookies.

  1. I plan to bake cookies on Thursday. I hope it doesn’t snow!

  2. And I presume we can thank Orko for our giant snowman friend in the background. πŸ™‚

  3. Those cookies look yummy! And homemade cookies are an excellent remedy for a snow day.

  4. Oh my gosh – your little girls face in the second picture is precious! Poor thing!

  5. I thought we were naming storms after characters in Disney movies?!?! Maybe Orko is from Mulan?

  6. Love Love Love it! HF
